ISJP Library Holdings
The ISJP established a lending library in 1995 to make publications related to Japanese philately available to its members. Answers to commonly asked questions about the library and its borrowing procedures are listed below.
Who can borrow from the ISJP Library?
The Library holdings are accessible to all ISJP members, regardless of country of residence.
What publications does the Library hold?
The Library currently has more than 500 books, periodicals, and catalogs on Japanese philately, general philately and related subjects. A full listing of the Library's holdings is contained in this catalog which is updated periodically as new titles are added.
How many items can be borrowed at one time and how long can they be kept?
Up to 4 items may be requested at a time. A borrower may not have more than 8 borrowed items at any time.
Materials may be borrowed for a period of 5 weeks. Extensions may be granted by the Librarian, provided no other member has requested the same material.
What is the cost of borrowing?
The only cost to the borrower is the postage from and back to the library. All requests are mailed by the Library per USPS Priority Mail, with added insurance and/or delivery confirmation at the discretion of the Librarian.
Borrowers are requested to return the borrowed items by USPS Priority Mail or a commensurate postal process for non-US residents. If the item was sent to the borrower insured, the borrower is asked to insure the return shipment for the protection of the borrower and the library material.
How do I arrange to borrow items from the Library?
Please direct all inquiries about the ISJP Library, including the borrowing of material, to the Librarian, David Farragut Rohde P. O. Box 236, McArthur, CA 96056.
Can materials be donated to the Library?

Authors and publishers of articles, monographs, books, etc., are welcome to send copies to the Librarian, David Farragut Rohde P. O. Box 236, McArthur, CA 96056 for inclusion in the Library.
